MUMBAI: This weekend, viewers of Sony Entertainment Television’s talent reality show, India’s Got Talent are in for a ride filled with entertainment, nostalgia, and more! The Saturday episode will define familial and friendship bonds with the ‘Rishtey Special’ and the Sunday episode will see the Top 11 contestants give a befitting tribute to India’s most respected and loved ‘Disco King’, the late Bappi Lahiri aka Bappi Da n the presence of his family members. On Sunday, the show will summarize the journey of the Legendary Singer and Music Director Bappi Da who himself is known to have immense respect for talents across the world. Leaving Bappi Da’s family in awe with his soulful voice, Rishabh Chaturvedi from Amritsar will be seen getting blessings from Bappa Lahiri for his brilliant rendition of Bappi Da’s iconic chartbusters '‘Ke pag ghungroo’ and ‘Yaad aa raha hai.’
Rishabh will change the atmosphere of the sets all together with his performance to such an extent that judge Badshah who couldn’t contain his excitement will go on stage and pick-up Rishabh in happiness. Rishabh will also receive a standing ovation and the golden buzzer for his blockbuster performance from the judges. Kirron Kher who was highly impressed with Rishabh's talent says, “Aaj toh dil khush kardiya munde ne!!! You were superlatively good. I’m shocked.” Malaika who was impressed too with Rishabh’s singing skills shares, “It was a symphony to another level. You are a star born on this stage.”
Rishabh who gave a befitting tribute to his idol Bappi Da was elated to receive huge praises for his performance. Bappi Da’s son Bappa who was present on the show shares, “Pag ghungroo is a very difficult song to sing and people are not aware of this.. they think it is very easy. My father (Bappi Lahiri) sang the song with so much emotion and Rishabh, you he nailed it! You sang with so much panache in one go, hats off to you!.” Touched by Rishabh’s talent Bappa will be seen gifting Rishabh a scarf, that belonged to Bappi Da as the legends blessing.
Awestruck by Bappa’s warm gesture Rishabh will get nostalgic and share how excited he and his parents were to meet Bappi Da and his family for the first time on the show War Parivaar back in 2008. Delighted by Bappa generous act the Chaturvedi family along with Bappa will sing Arey Pyaar Kar Le revisiting their fond memories.
