Being a judge is a big responsibility: Gaiti Siddiqui

Gaiti Siddiqui

Memories are still fresh about the popular hit number ‘Baby Doll’ being choreographed by the very gorgeous Gaiti Siddiqui, who is now seen as a judge on Dance India Dance Season 5.

After working hard behind the camera for DID, the lady has now climbed up the ladder.

The gleeful Gaiti looked all excited and charged up judging this prestigious dance reality show. In a chat with Tellychakkar.com, Gaiti spoke about dance, the show and more.

Firstly tell us, how excited is it to judge this season of Dance India Dance? “I think excitement is an understatement. I have been associated with DID, but have been behind the camera training and supervising contestants. After being part of the family, Zee TV approached me to take over as a judge. Till now people have heard my name, but now they will recognize me by my face.”

Being the female judge of the show, people will compare you with Geeta Kapoor, are you fine with it? “I think Geeta, Terence and Remo have created a bench mark that nobody can touch. There is no comparison as we all are individuals and have different personalities. But I hope and pray that the audience equally love and support us. Being a judge is a big responsibility, as for the contestants we are their God. Whatever we say they follow it blindly.”

There will be three different groups on the show. So how will you go about it? “I have been a teacher earlier, so I will have that mindset. The contestants should have the right attitude, confidence and proper body language.”

Who according to you is a perfect dancer? “There is no term as perfect dancer, but a good dancer should have passion towards dancing. A good dancer should have the quality of observing other people and then imbibing more skills.”

You are trained in which dance form? “I have trained for five years in belle, jazz, contemporary, hip hop and Latin.”

Who do you wish to choreograph in future? “I have always wished to choreograph the one and only Ranbir Kapoor.”

Go Gaiti!!!
