MUMBAI: After earning recognition in the Kolkata entertainment industry, Debchandrima Singha Roy is making a splashing entry into the world of Hindi television with her debut role in COLORS' upcoming fantasy thriller romance 'Suhagan Chudail'. In a dream launch for any budding artist, Deb has landed the lead role of Deeya, a brave young woman who must save her love, Moksh (Zayn Ibad Khan), from the clutches of an immortality-seeking chudail, Nishigandha (Nia Sharma). The fantasy saga follows Deeya's desperate battle against the enchantress, who is on a chilling quest to wed and sacrifice 16 husbands through the dark ritual of 'Solah Shringaars' to attain eternal life. With Moksh as her 16th target, Deeya wages war to break the supernatural siren’s spell and rescue her lover. For the debutante Debchandrima, the lead role in 'Suhagan Chudail' is a check on her bucket list because it blends elements of romance, suspense, and supernatural.
