Big Magic’s Beta Hi Chahiye to wrap up next month

The social drama supporting the girl child, ‘Beta Hi Chahiye’ on Reliance Big Magic (the latest entrant on the GEC space) which launched sometime in May 2013, is now coming to an end. A source confirmed to us that this Big Magic in-house production with Garima Tiwari and Ankit Bathla as leads is due to end next month (October 2013). The reason for closure is that it did not generate enough numbers. Garima who plays the protagonist Saroja who brings about changes in her husband’s family says, “I too have heard such rumours; but I cannot say anything till I have been informed officially.” We tried to contact the channel representatives, but could not get through to them till the time of filing this story. Guess any new channel takes time to build traction, and we hope that the two new shows Raavi and Nadaaniyaan which Big Magic has launched recently get lots of audience support and love.
