MUMBAI: The much-anticipated 19th season of Bigg Boss has officially launched, this time embracing a digital-first strategy.

Episodes will premiere on OTT platforms before hitting television screens 90 minutes later, giving fans a chance to follow the drama as it unfolds in real time.

Salman Khan, who returns as host for the 17th consecutive year, will guide viewers through a 105-day journey filled with power, politics, and high-stakes gameplay. This season, featuring 17–18 contestants, comes with a bold new theme — Gharwalon Ki Sarkar.

Unlike earlier editions, Bigg Boss will take more of a backseat, stepping in only occasionally, while the contestants themselves will hold decision-making powers.

Adding to the excitement, Salman Khan will interact with the housemates on a far more personal and collaborative level than before.

The contestant list this year is already creating buzz, with names such as Gaurav Khanna, Awez Darbar, Ashnoor Kaur, Zeishan Quadri, Nehal Chudasama, Abhishek Bajaj, Baseer Ali, Nagma Mirajkar, Tanya Mittal, Shebaz Badesha and Mridul Tiwari entering the house.

Among the fresh faces introduced during the grand premiere was stand-up comedian Pranit More. While speaking to Salman Khan, Pranit revealed that his father, a devoted admirer of the superstar, was the reason behind his decision to join the show.

He added that he wanted to dedicate his journey — and hopefully his victory — to his father and to his home state of Maharashtra.

True to his comic persona, Pranit couldn’t resist a cheeky jab at fellow comedian Samay Raina.

With a witty pun, he remarked that “Samay isn’t going too well for stand-up comics these days, as everything seems to spiral into controversy.”

With his sharp humour and emotional backstory, Pranit has already piqued audience curiosity. Fans are eager to watch how he navigates the challenges of the Bigg Boss house and whether his wit can help him outplay his competitors.
