Star Plus’ show Imlie is winning the hearts of the audience. The show is doing pretty well on the BARC charts and has been securing a place in the TOP 5 most viewed shows on television across the channels. The show has young actress Sumbul Touqeer Khan essaying the titular role. 

Before bagging Imlie on Star Plus, Sumbul has worked in projects like Chandragupta Maurya, Isharon Isharon Mein, Article 15, among others. 

While shooting for Article 15, Sumbul bonded pretty well with the lead actor Ayushman Khurrana. Recently, Ayushman also started following Sumbul on social media. When asked about the same, Sumbul said, “Ayushman has been quite motivating and supportive towards me. He liked my craft and we used to chat on the sets of Article 15. He also had good things to say to my father about my work which made my father really proud and happy. Even after the project, we kind of stayed in touch. Although I felt he wouldn’t reply to my messages, he did. The other day, I woke up to this notification on Instagram which read that Ayushman is following me. I was pleasantly surprised. I re-checked to make sure if it was really Ayushman following me or his fan club and was elated to figure out that he himself followed me. I also got a few calls from close family members and friends who asked me about the same. It was a great feeling.”
