MUMBAI: Health and fitness has been on everyone's minds since the pandemic. Several people used the lockdown to figure out a workout routine for themselves. Brahmarakshas 2 fame Nikki Sharma has been ardently following her fitness regime. A self-confessed fitness enthusiast, the actress ensures that she does 108 suryanamaskars (sun salutations) every morning as a part of her routine. Prior to bagging the role of Kalindi, she had been practicing yogaasanas at home and used to go for running whenever she had time at hand. Even after resuming shoot, she ensures that she never misses doing her suryanamaskars, be it on set or at home.
She shares, “Being a lactose intolerant person, staying fit is a necessity for me. While my busy shooting schedules do not permit enough time for long workouts every day, I feel doing Suryanamaskars on a daily basis does the job of what a one-hour workout does. Initially, it was extremely difficult to learn and perfect my form. I love exercising and staying fit which is why I never wanted to lose hope. So, I kept practicing till it became easy for me. Now 108 doesn't seem such a difficult number to achieve. Of course, now I hope to get the number gradually higher.”
