Casting director Aadarsh Jain turns producer; ropes in Ashish Singh, Vishal Sharma, and Isha Chabbra

MUMBAI: Casting director Aadarsh Jain is set to add another feather to his cap. After being in the field of casting, direction, and acting, Aadarsh is now producing a web-series for one of the popular OTT platforms. It is an exotic thriller and would showcase a story of a boy and his one-sided love.

According to our sources, the makers have roped in newbie Isha Chabbra as the female protagonist, while the casting for the male lead is still on.

The project will also feature Vishal Sharma, who is a well-known casting director and has been working in the industry for many years now. He will be making his acting debut with this series in the role of a cop.

Moreover, casting director Ashish Singh, who has acted in many episodic shows, has bagged the above-mentioned series in the role of a spoilt brat.

Aadarsh is producing the series under the banner of Rootz Entertainment. 

On turning the producer and shedding light on the web-show, Aadarsh shared, ‘Well, I definitely feel proud to explore another dimension in life. I started my career as a casting director. I have done casting for many fiction and reality shows. I have also acted in shows like Jodha Akbar, Itna Karo Na Mujhe Pyaar, and Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya. However, unfortunately, I met with an accident and moved into direction. I had many concepts in my mind. When I narrated the concept to my financer, he really liked it. And we are glad that our series will be launched on one of the best OTT platforms. We are yet to cast a few more actors and plan to go on floors by mid-April.’
