MUMBAI: Actress Shivani Gosain, who was last seen in Rishton Se Bandhi Gauri, recently shared her candid thoughts on how celebrities influence fashion, lifestyle, and fitness, while also highlighting the human side of stardom that often gets overlooked.
“People definitely like to imitate or follow celebrities’ fashion, lifestyle, and fitness routines because they set the latest trends,” Shivani explained. “Celebrities are always in the limelight, so they have to stay stylish and trendy. Designers also work really hard to give fresh looks, experimenting with new ideas to showcase their creativity through stars.”
Acknowledging that fitness and lifestyle are deeply tied to showbiz, Shivani pointed out that actors often get access to the latest training techniques and upgraded equipment. “It becomes a privilege that people naturally notice and want to follow,” she said.
However, the actress emphasized that while she is open to upgrading herself for growth and betterment, she has never changed her life just by seeing others. For her, being a celebrity means staying authentic while carrying “a little more responsibility and awareness.”
Shivani also spoke about the flipside of fame, where public figures are often unfairly judged. “People make a fixed image of a celebrity and forget that we are human too. We feel, we make mistakes, and we also learn and grow with time. There is no need to be judgmental about every little thing,” she said.
She stressed that for actors, family and emotions are just as real as anyone else’s. “When we celebrate, when we lose loved ones, or when we are hurt—it’s not always for publicity. We also face mental, emotional, and physical challenges. One should have the heart to give space and respect to another human being.”
While Shivani hinted at personal experiences of being unfairly targeted, she said she will share her story when the time is right. Until then, her reminder is simple yet profound: celebrities may inspire trends, but they too deserve compassion and understanding.
