MUMBAI: Star Plus's popular TV serial Yeh Hai Chahatein is winning hearts with it's gripping storyline and fantastic star cast. It is a spin-off to Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and stars Sargun Kaur Luthra and Abrar Qazi. The Balaji Telefilms serial is based upon Preesha's life, which revolves around her son Saaransh, and Rudraksh, who is an insensitive rockstar. An unfortunate event brings these two strangers at a crossroad. The show is gearing up with some major twists and turns in the upcoming segments.

There is soon to come a leap in the show. As the story takes a 20 year leap, new characters will be introduced. The show begins with a new story where two sisters- Nayantara (lead with Prisha's face) and Ishaani Nair, daughters of Malti Nair, who is a well-known matchmaker of their community residing in Delhi. The two sisters are total opposites of each other.

While Nayantara is an average looking, intelligent, introverted bookworm, her younger sister Ishaani is a conventionally attractive, extroverted personality. On the other hand, Revati who had left the country with Rudraksh and Prisha’s youngest son, Samrat (lead with Rudraksh’s face) comes back to India.

Samrat is introduced as a rich, spoiled brat, womanizer and a popular rockstar who is oblivious to the exploitation he faces by Revati for his money. Samrat loves his mother and sister, Alia with all his heart but hates his father for what he did to Revati.

Abrar will play Samrat who is a rockstar and will play the role of Nayantara. The plot will then be about how their life intertwines and what events unfold.

Abrar’s new look is that of a rockstar and netizens feel that the way he is being portrayed looks exactly like Ranbir Kapoor from the film Rockstar in which he plays the role of Jordan, a rockstar. The way he looked with long messy hair, the outfit along with a cap, Abrar looks a replica of Jordan.
