MUMBAI: Having collected a lot of accolades in the worlds of television, filmography and virtual shows, there's no stopping Naagin fame Surbhi Jyoti from walking on the path of stardom. 

The gorgeous telly diva has been winning over a million hearts ever since she embarked upon her journey to success in the Hindi Television and Film industries.

1. Surbhi hails from Jalandhar (Punjab) and belongs to a Punjabi Brahmin family. Her nickname happens to be ‘Fruity’.

2. Surbhi is totally a bookworm and she loves to talk, owing to which she has developed great oratory skills and has even won the 'National Debate Championship'  for a few times post-expressing her views on ‘Women Empowerment’.

3. Jyoti started her career initially as a radio jockey, but later debuted in regional theatre and films She worked in Punjabi films Ik Kudi Punjab Di, Raula Pai Gaya and Munde Patiala De, as well as in Punjabi television shows like Akiyaan To Door Jayen Na and Kach Diyan Wanga.

4. In late 2012, Jyoti debuted in the Hindi entertainment industry with the Zee TV show Qubool Hai, wherein she played the lead-role of Zoya Farooqui, opposite to Karan Singh Grover. For the portrayal of her character, she won the award for 'GR8! Performer of the Year - Female' at the Indian Television Academy Awards and 'Best Début Actress' at the Zee Gold Awards 2013. She also won two 'Best Jodi' awards with Karan Singh Grover. 
When Qubool Hai underwent a reboot in 2014, Surbhi was back to play a double-roles of Sanam and Seher. 

She did many other Hindi shows then onwards like Ishqbaaz, Koi Laut Ke Aaya Hai, etc., however Qubool Hai would be most remembered as owing to her iconic chemistry with Grover, the show's reportedly looking forward to another reboot. 

5. Amongst her other shows and roles, her characters as Bela Mahir Sehgal and Shravani Mihir Sippi in Colors' Balaji Telefilms' supernatural show Naagin 3 were also lauded by the audience. 


6. In 2015, she ranked 17th in an annual poll conducted by UK-based weekly newspaper Eastern Eye.

7. Surbhi follows a very strict and disciplined diet regime.

8. Lastly, according to the recent updates, Surbhi Jyoti would be making her big screen debut in Bollywood as Jassi Gill in Sonam Gupta Bewafa Hai.
