MUMBAI : Indian television shows have been a part of the audience's daily lives for a long time now. Over time, the type and platform of content changed a lot but people still wish to go back to television dramas and call it their comfort zone.

Over time, there have been a few shows that have made their mark and are still remembered by the audience. Many of them had either sequels or spin-offs because the first one worked so well. 

Here are a few shows whose spin-offs and sequels worked wonders:

Yeh Rishte Hai Pyaar Ke:

It is a spin-off of Star Plus's Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. It starred Rhea Sharma and Shaheer Sheikh in the lead.  Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is a romantic drama television series that premiered in 2009 and ranked as the longest-running Indian television soap opera in 2019. While Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is still on and gaining a lot of love, Yeh Rishte Hai Pyaar Ke did not fail to gain love from the audience. 

Yeh Hai Chahatein: This is a spinoff of Ekta Kapoor’s Yeh Hai Mohabbatein starring Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya and Karan Patel, which first aired in 2013 and it went on to become an instant hit. While Yeh Hai Mohabbatein had a great run, it ended a while back and Yeh Hai Chahatein is doing quite well and winning hearts with its track and performances. 

Kundali Bhagya:

Ekta Kapoor’s Kundali Bhagya has been among the most popular spinoffs in recent years. Since it originally aired, the show has ranked top on BARC's list of the most-watched TV programs, building on the success of Kumkum Bhagya. Currently, both Kumkum Bhagya and Kundali Bhagya are running successfully and the audience loves both of them.

Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2:

It is the sequel of Bade Achhe Lagte Hai season 1 which starred Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar in the lead. The first season did wonders and the audience loved it immensely. The second season started to premiere recently and stars Nakuul Mehta and Disha Parmar in the lead. The show is highly loved and the audience loved the chemistry between Nakuul and Disha. 

Kasautii Zindagii Kay:

The second season of this popular Ekta Kapoor show starred Parth Samthan and Erica Fernandes in the lead and gained quite a good amount of attraction and love from the audience. The chemistry and track were loved by the fans. 

Beyhadh 2:

The first season did wonders and the second season was decided to launch. It starred Jennifer Winget, Shivin Narang, and Ashish Chowdhry. It managed to do well with the ratings and the audience loved every bit of it.
