MUMBAI: This Children’s Day, Brinda Dahal, who portrays Vaishnavi on Sun Neo’s Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, takes us on a nostalgic journey, sharing some of her most cherished childhood experiences.
Reflecting on her school days, Brinda said, “One of my fondest memories of Children’s Day was the lively atmosphere created by all the competitions. We had games, a poetry contest, and a debate competition. I vividly remember participating in the poetry competition and being very excited when I secured the third place. Winning that medal on Children’s Day made it unforgettable.”
Brinda also shared the childhood moments she’d love to experience again: “If I could travel back in time, I would relive the thrill of seeing my mother for the first time. Imagine feeling that sense of comfort all over again. Or the excitement of going to school for the very first time. Those moments hold such wonder, and I’d cherish reliving them.”
Since childhood, Brinda has had dreams of making it in the world of acting. “I’ve always aspired to be an actress. Initially, I dreamt of becoming a dancer, but over time, that dream evolved into being a dancer-actress. Today, working on Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya feels like I’m fulfilling that childhood aspiration.”
Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya, which airs at 7 PM on Sun Neo, follows the heartwarming story of Vaishnavi, an orphan who draws strength from her unwavering faith in Chhathi Maiyya, the motherly goddess she holds dear. The show features a stellar cast, including Sara Khan, Jaya Bhattacharya, Brinda Dahal, and Ashish Dixit.
