MUMBAI: Zee TV’s much-talked-about reality show Chhoriyan Chali Gaon has been capturing hearts across the nation with its raw emotions, cultural immersion, and the city girls’ struggle to adapt to the simple yet demanding life of the gaon. This week, viewers witnessed an emotional moment as stand-up comedian Sumukhi Suresh marked her exit from the show.
Owing to a family emergency, Sumukhi was forced to leave the village and return home. In another development, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein fame Anita Hassanandani expressed her desire to exit the show as well.

After a task, Anita voiced her disappointment, stating that her team had lost in an unfair manner. This didn’t sit well with Erika Packard, who quickly jumped in to counter her, claiming Anita was pointing out issues without having her facts straight. Erica even went on to accuse Anita of lying, while Anita maintained that if she was indeed wrong, the show’s team could step in and correct her.
The exchange escalated when Erica repeatedly called Anita a liar, leaving Anita visibly upset and leading to an emotional meltdown. In frustration, she told the host that she wished to quit the show and no longer wanted to continue. However, Rannvijay Singha stepped in and explained that walking away would only end up empowering her opponents, urging her to reconsider her decision.
