CID to be made into a film?

Well, there’s big news for all the loyal viewers of CID. The longest running fiction show on Sony is according to the grapevine being made into a film. Fireworks, the producer of CID have grand plans of turning the successful and immensely popular series into a 70 mm dream with the same star cast. Says a source, “We have been toying with this idea for a long time now, and everything is undergoing a process, as the show is very popular among the masses, and we are working out the other details.” We tried to know about this from ‘Pradyuman Maheshwari’ himself and so quizzed actor Shivaji Satam who said excitedly, “Yes, what you hear is right. BP ji (B.P. Singh, producer) has been thinking about it since a long time. But this time, it has been worked upon, time lagega par hoga zarur.” Well, we wish the CID team scorches the big screen as well! Interestingly, the only other show that's been made into a film was the sitcom, Khichdi produced by Hats Off. Khichdi, The movie had released last year.
