COLORS artists says NO to crackers, share their plans for Diwali 2020!

MUMBAI: Amar Upadhaya as Virendra Pratap Singh from Molkki said, “The festival of Diwali is all about getting together with family and friends, chilling with them and relaxing. Every year I visit my relatives' place, but this year I am busy shooting for Molkki. Also I am planning to cook for my family and enjoy the delicious meal with them. I don't really believe in bursting crackers, not only because I am an environmentalist, but also because I feel that the festival is more about lights, sweets and togetherness."

Priyal Mahajan as Purvi from Molkki says, “Diwali is a beautiful festival of lights and colours during which I enjoy spending time with my family and close friends. This year I will be busy shooting for my show Molkki, so it will be difficult for me to spend much time with them. Likeevery year, I would like to urge everyone to support the environment by celebrating a cracker-free Diwali. I am looking forward to enjoying homemade sweets of every size, shape and flavor!"

Avinesh Rekhi aka Sarabjit of Choti Sarrdaarni said, "Due to the current COVID situation, we need to maintain social distancing and hence we cannot celebrate the festival like we used to earlier. I have planned something special this Diwali for my family. I have purchased clandestine gifts for my wife and kids, and will be gifting them post Lakshmi Puja. The best part is that they are aware that they will be getting special gifts, and are trying their best to find what’s in store for them but it’s a surprise and I am sure they will love their gifts.!”

Nimrit Kaur Ahluwalia aka Mehar of Choti Sarrdaarni said, "For me Diwali does not only mean lighting up the house with Diyas, decorating it flowers or making elaborate rangolis. I personally love gorging on sweets, especially Besan ladoos so much so that I even plan to make the ladoos by myself. If I am not working, I will make them and surprise the cast and crew of Choti Sarrdaarni with some awesome Besan ladoos made by me during Diwali!"

Pravisht Mishra aka Anirudh of Barrister Babu says, "I have always celebrated a cracker-free Diwali. Mostly because they make so much noise and cause pollution. My idea of celebrating Diwali is to spend time with close friends and family members. I am a very private person and I enjoy close-knit celebrations, instead of a big party."

Aura Bhatnagar aka Bondita of Barrister Babu said, "I love bursting crackers on Diwali but this year due to the current situation, I want to follow the rules, regulations and also maintain social distancing.  I remember helping my mother last year in making sweets for Diwali and exchanging them with our neighbors. It was really special for me because it was the first time I learned how to bake and make sweets with the help of my mother. I would like to take this opportunity and wish all my fans a very happy and cracker-free Diwali."

Riya Sharma aka Mayura of Pinjara Khubsurti Ka said, "I think Diwali is one of the most beautiful festivals. Every place is so well lit that it looks heavenly. I love the lights but I am not a fan of the noise or the smoke. I feel we should be responsible citizens and every festival should be taken as an opportunity to do something good for this world especially keeping in mind the current scenario."

Saahil U Uppal aka Omkar of Pinjara Khubsurti Ka said, “Every year I have a Diwali party with all my close friends because I stay away from my family. Having people and spending some quality time is the whole essence of Diwali to me. But unfortunately this year because I will be shooting, I wouldn't be able to celebrate the festival at large. But if I have time, I will have my close friends over and have a small get together with them."

Helly Shah aka Riddhima from Ishq Mein Marjaawan said, “  It's the best time of the year !!! 2020 is a different year, a lot of things have changed and so will the way we celebrated festivals will also be different.  We want our tomorrow to be a better place and the first thing we all should do is say no to crackers. I am glad that there is a lot of awareness about this already. I will be working this Diwali as my show Ishq Mein Marjaawan has an interesting track where Riddhima’s life will be changing. I will be celebrating most of the part of this festival with my co-stars who are like my family. After pack up, I will be going home to my parents and plan to spend some quality time with them. Diwali is all about family and friends for me and I hope things get better for the world in the coming days.”

Simba Nagpal says Virat Singh in Shakti- Astitva Ke Ehsaas Kii.... " I will miss going back home this Diwali. Had it been possible, I would have visited Delhi to celebrate  it with my mom but due to the pandemic and shoot of my show Shakti.. Astitva Ke Ehsaas Kii, I have to be in Mumbai. My mom makes the best 'Badam Doodh' in this whole world and it's one of my favorites. I have told her to make it for me and send it for me. Apart from that I have re-decorated my house .  I love going on long drives and for me it will be the best way to celebrate Diwali."
