Colors Bangla knows how to win the hearts of its viewers!
Yes readers, the channel is launching a new show titled ‘Robi Thakurer Golpo’, helmed by director duo Sudeshna Roy and Abhijit Guha, who have earlier made films like Bapi Bari Jaa and Cross Connection.
It is a known fact that Rabindranath Tagore is a name which resounds through every Bengali household. His stories have been cherished generation after generation, and now the channel is all geared up to bring the Nobel laureate’s short stories in a unique form on small screen.
The classic stories will be told in a modern format and every story will be narrated in three episodes.
Directors Abhijit Guha and Sudeshna Roy are very excited about the project. They echoed, “Rabindranath Tagore is ageless and there lies his magic. The audience of today will find this world engaging as well; feeling attached to the emotions, issues, drama and anxieties present in the stories.”
Talking about the show, Sujay Kutty, Channel Head, Colors Bangla and Odia said, “The show is set to take the viewers on a magical journey through old Bengal, with great characters, exactly how Tagore did in his short stories”
The lead star cast of the show includes Sreelekha Mitra, Darshana Banik, Dipankar De, Koushik Sen, and Lily Chakroborty.
Watch this enriching show from 19th November every Thursday to Saturday at 9 pm.
