Comedies galore on SAB!

SAB, the `Only Smiles, No Tears' entertainment channel' is back in action with a host of comedies which will keep the viewers glued to their TV sets through the week. The channel has brought in four fresh comedy shows titled - Ji Behenji, Ishq Ki Ghanti, Party and FIR, besides a new season of Yes Boss. The weeklies which go on air from 24 July will help strengthen the 8.30 time slot, from Monday-Friday for the channel. " SAB has always had a strong share in the comedy space so with the launch of four new humor shows we are making efforts to strengthen our channels' position alongside out viewership in the primetime band," says Business Head, Vikas Bahl. "We will not have spoofs or slapstick comedies in our shows as they are new-age comedies with a different treatment. The shows will be realistic, substantial and situational," points out Programming Head, Priya Mishra. Just a quick dekho at the laughing riot introduced through the week. FIR, produced by Sanjay and Benaiffer Kohli is a subtle satire on the police force itself. The starcast includes Gopi Bhalla, Kiku Sharda, Garma and Shiv Pandit who will take the viewers through their comic take on cops, crime and romance every Thursday. Ishq Ki Ghanti, produced by Sri Adhikari Brothers will have Gaurav Gera, Asif Sheikh and Rajesh Balwani. The show is a nerve tickling comedy which will revolve around the escapades of three romance-starved men. (Wednesday) Ji Behenji, produced by Ashwini Dheer has Rajeshwari Badola in the lead. The actor essays the role of an articulate and fearless Behanji staying next-door, who takes on the onus of solving the day-to-day problems of people residing in a middle class locality. (Monday) Party, produced by Rakhi Tandon has Deepak Raja and Aanchal in the main lead. It revolves around the life of Raja Hindustani who is the head of a party organising team.(Friday) Besides season two of Yes Boss by Sri Adhikari Brothers has the likes of Asif Sheikh, Rakesh Bedi and Kavita Kapoor.
