MUMBAI: Vishwas Saraf, who is currently seen in Sargun Mehta and Ravie Dubey’s Badall Pe Paon Hai, which is produced under their banner Dreamiyata Entertainment Private Limited, says while television reflects the society, the society too reflects the influence of television.
He said, “It actually goes both ways. As actors/makers, we try to adapt the good from society and show the same in our shows. Sometimes we also try to initiate a good thought and push the same towards the audience through the medium of our TV shows and work.”
He further added, “Daily soaps really play a great role in resonating the values and beliefs of our society and showcasing the same on a national level. The audience relates to the daily soaps because they clearly see and feel the essence of values, beliefs, and culture of our Indian society.”
Talking about his show, he stressed that Badall Pe Paon Hai is based on the life of two middle class families who are trying to fulfill their dreams and live a large life. He added, “So, our show is definitely influencing people in a positive way and giving hope to people about their dreams becoming reality.”
Vishwas prefers doing short yet impactful character. He said, “It is something that will stay in the audience's minds for a longer time, and they would be excited to see that kind of character back on screen again and again.”
