Manava Naik who was shown dead in Zee’s Teen Bahuraniyaan is more than happy about the termination of her character Manjeet. Manjeet’s death left the viewers in shock. The actress despite the show being a hit decided to leave the show as she was not happy with the way her character was shaping up. She says, “It was a mutual decision between me, channel and the production house. It was a well- planned strategy.” The actress was promised to be the central character by the production house but things did not turn out the way they were planned. Allegedly there were other characters who kept hogging the limelight. She says, “When we started the show they promised me the central character but somehow things did not happen the way they were promised to me. I was not getting my due as an actor. I took up the matter with Zee and Playtime Creations and they understood my position. According to a well-planned strategy my character has come to a graceful end.” “I had not walked out or quit the show. People may see me on and off during the flashbacks,” adds the actress. The actress as of now is not doing anything other than playing Dimple in Baa Bahoo Aur Baby. Manava had started her television career with serial Special Squad wherein she played the character of a detective now wants to take up shows that satisfy her hunger for different and creative work. She says, “I am not here for fame or money. I want to do different roles that satisfy me as an actor.” The actress is all game for reality shows but has some apprehensions. She says, “I wouldn’t mind doing a reality show but it’s a definite no-no to shows like Bigg Boss. I wouldn’t want to go public with my daily chores. I can’t afford to be scrutinised every single moment. But I would love to do a dance based reality show as I am a trained kathak dancer.” There is no dearth of reality shows on television so make the right choice baby.
