MUMBAI: Jobs in the entertainment industry are quite uncertain. The team of Colors show Pavitra Bhagya was pumped up to start the shoot post lockdown and then got kicking with the shoot for the show.
The extremely hardworking team made sure to take all the precautions while shooting. The makers made sure that they create a good bank of episodes which may help in situations if god forbid their artists get contracted with the novel coronavirus. The team gave their all to make sure that the show doesn’t suffer in any given situation. (Read here: Reyansh to fall head over heels in love with Pranati in Colors’ Pavitra Bhagya )
Well, looks like the efforts have all gone in vain as the show is set to bid adieu to the viewers tonight.
Sources have it that the team has a bank of episodes until 16th October but they’ve been asked to scrap the same and end the show tonight.
Adhering to the decision, the crew decided to wrap the show with an abrupt yet happy ending.
A source close to the show said, “The show started off with a bang and was loved by the viewers. Although, within no time, the show started to suffer because of the constant time shifting. Pavitra Bhagya, from the time it was on air suffered due to its constant shift in time slot from week 2. We were shifted almost every week...starting from 10.15pm, 10.30pm; 10.45pm; 11pm; 11.10pm...but we still gave them a good time spent...it was always above 12 minutes”.
Another source added, “Despite of having no intimations to the viewers about the change in time-slot and extremely few promotions, we performed! The audience found it feasible to watch the show online and not on TV because of the constant time-shift which in return resulted in less TRPs. However, we were loved digitally”.
Well, as they say, every good thing comes to an end, Pavitra Bhagya also had to end but no one thought it would happen so soon.
We tried contacting the leads of the show Aneri Vajani and Kunal Jaisingh but they remained unavailable until filing this piece.
Stay tuned to this space for more updates.
