Sara Khan, who played Alka in Dhoondh Legi Manzil Humein, is a busy gal these days. And what is keeping her busy is not acting, but a long lost dream of hers. Incidentally, Sara has turned a writer and her first book is all set to hit the stands really soon. It is titled ‘The Rules for Parents’ and will be launched in London. And like any author, Sara is overjoyed to have finished her first literary work. “I am extremely elated as my first offering as a writer is complete and ready to be published now.”
This book will help parents understand their teenage kids. Why did Sara choose such a topic? Incidentally, before acting happened to Sara, she was a psychologist and regularly conducted seminars for teenage kids and their parents. And she wanted to pen down her learning from these seminars.
But when Sara entered the world of entertainment, this writing ambition took a backseat. But when her debut show Dhoondh Legi Manzil Humein went off-air, the actress returned to London to realize her dream. It took Sara a couple of months to complete the book and the results have been fruitful as ‘The Rules for Parents’ got published in time. It is expected to hit the stalls within a time frame of two months, but the e-book will be available in two to three weeks.
In fact, acting seems to have taken a backseat. “I will be returning to acting pretty soon, but for now my focus is completely on my book,” smiles Sara.
