MUMBAI: Akshay Kumar turned an year older on Wednesday (September 9). He is currently in Scotland shooting for his spy-thriller movie "Bell Bottom". The film also features TV show "Patiala Babes" fame actor Aniruddh Dave, who wished the superstar in his own unique and direct way.

He took to microblogging website Twitter to wish Khiladi Kumar and wrote, "Direct bolu. A very very happy birthday to you Akshay Kumar sir, truly loved working with you in #bellbottom feeling fortunate that we are shooting together on your bday... may you have a wonderful year ahead. You inspire in every sense. #happybirthdayakshaykumar sir.. puchchi."

Akshay's latest pics from the sets, where he sported a thick moustache, took the internet by storm. And though not much has been revealed about Aniruddh's character yet, his Instagram posts show the actor donning a pencil moustache. All the pics are definitely giving a very retro feel.

Directed by Ranjit M Tewari, "Bell Bottom" is an untold true story and also features Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta. Written by Assem Arrora, the movie is produced by Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha Advani and Nikkhil Advani. It will hit the screens in 2021.
