MUMBAI: TikTok sensation Faizal Siddiqui's account has been banned after he came under the scanner for allegedly "glorifying" acid attack in a video. The ban was enforced "due to multiple community guidelines violations".
Faizal, who had a 13 million-plus following on the video sharing application, posted a clip in which he is seen throwing a liquid on a girl's face for betraying him. Later the girl is seen in the clip with grotesque make-up, suggesting a disfigured face. (Read here: Faizal Siddiqui's TikTok account banned for 'glorifying' acid attack )
Faizal took to his Instagram account and put across a justification on the video. He stated that the initial part of the video has been edited out to make it look like he has thrown acid on the female’s face, however, in the first part, he can be seen sipping water from the glass that he later threw on the girl. He clarified stating, “I wouldn’t be drinking acid, right?”
Well, Faizal’s justification did not go down well with many.
Celebrities like Divya Agarwal and Vj Anusha Dandekar lashed out at him for justifying his acts.
Divya wrote: You think a drunkard throwing alcohol on anyone like that is right?
Acid nai hai pani hai nai alcohol hai !
Kya sochte ho yaar! Don’t call yourself an influencer!
