MUMBAI: Diwali is one of India’s most cherished and widely celebrated festivals, symbolizing the triumph of truth and goodness over evil. It brings light and positivity into people’s lives, both literally, through the illumination of homes with diyas and lamps, and metaphorically, by inspiring joy, hope, and togetherness. The festival is also a time for bonding, as families and friends come together, forgive past differences, and celebrate new beginnings with love, laughter, and shared festivities.
In an exclusive chat with TellyChakkar.com, Naman Shaw who plays the character of Adit in Colors TV show Mangal Lakshmi shared his thoughts on the festival, recalled childhood memories and more.

Naman said, "Diwali is like a time machine for me, It takes me back to those carefree childhood days filled with excitement and joy. Growing up in a joint family with eight cousins in the same building was like a dream .The pre-Diwali firecracker bursting, buying them together with my dad, and distributing among cousins was so much fun."
He added, "All the cousins wearing similar clothes on Diwali day was a special tradition and being an 80s kid, I got to experience the best of it. Starting the day with sweets, performing puja at the family shop, and bursting crackers together are lovely memories. The terrace gatherings with cousins, bursting crackers, and enjoying each other's company – those were special moments."
He concluded, "Diwali, for me was all about spending quality time with family and cousins. Those memories are sure to stay with me forever."
