Ekta's Kinjal unveiled

Ekta Kapoor has been endlessly singing the praises of her lead actress in 'Kinjal' in the show she is doing for the soon to launch Hindi entertainment channel 9X. Balaji's queen bee has however chosen to keep the girl's identity under wraps. Till now that is. The nation's soap queen has finally unwrapped the identity of her star in waiting and reveals that Kinjal will be played by first time actor Krystle D'Souza. Krystle is all of 17 years old and a complete stranger to the television world. Her only claim to fame till date has been as the winner of a dance competition at south Mumbai's St Xaviers College. So, how did she come into the limelight? On Independence Day, Krystle was wandering around her college when a Balaji official approached her and told her that her face suited one of the characters in an upcoming serial and asked if she was interested in auditioning for it. A screen test later, she found herself selected as the main protagonist of Ekta's new show on 9X. Krystle went on to polish her acting skills with actor Anupam Kher at his acting school. Under the tutelage of Anupam Kher, a few actors have successfully stepped into television. Let's hope that Krystle doesn't let her guru down.
