Elvish Yadav received a death threat during a cricket match with Munawar Faruqui in Delhi, The officials' stadium evacuated

MUMBAI: Bigg Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav received a terrifying death threat during a Sunday cricket match with comedian and Bigg Boss 17 winner Munawar Faruqui. During an ECL 2024 match between Munawar's Mumbai Disruptors (MD) and Elvish's Haryanvi Hunters (HH), the two clashed at the IG Indoor Stadium in Delhi.

Before the game started, the two captains had some light-hearted banter on the field with presenter Shefali Bagga. However, shortly after Elvish received a death threat for playing against Munawar, which sent the officials into a frenzy.

As part of their safety protocol, the officials cleared the crowded stadium and sealed the exits. Recently, several images and videos showing Elvish fans rushing out of the stadium in huge numbers have appeared on social media.

The match went on With just officials and members of the management there. Elvish and the organizers have not yet released a formal statement regarding the incident.

It should be mentioned that Elvish and Munawar's apparent bonding and hugging during the Indian Street Premiere League (ISPL) earlier this year did not sit well with the former's followers and fans.

Elvish received death threats in addition to being called a "traitor" and "anti-Hindu" for his friendship with Munawar. Elvish apologized unconditionally and said he would never again sacrifice his friendship with Munawar for the sake of his religion as the controversy escalated out of control.

"Apne Hindu dharam ke upar, apne sanatan dharam ke upar, ek nahi, hazaar Munawar Faruqui qurbaan hai. I don't consider him my friend or brother," he had said.
