EXCLUSIVE! Aladdin fame Smita Bansal on playing an antagonist: I don't see myself playing out-and-out negative roles

MUMBAI: Smita Bansal is one of the well-known actresses of the entertainment industry. She has been a part of several TV shows over the years and has given exceptional performances in her long career span. 

The talented diva was last seen in Aladdin - Naam Toh Suna Hoga. She played the role of Rukhsana, Aladdin's mother. Smita received several accolades for her stellar performance on the show. 

Also, the fans were in awe with Smita's on-screen bonding with her son Aladdin played by Siddharth Nigam.

Well, ever since Aladdin went off-air, the viewers are waiting to see Smita Bansal back on screens soon. 

Smita will soon be back on the small screens with Zee TV's show Bhagyalakashmi. 

The show is produced by Ekta Kapoor under her home banner Balaji Telefilms. 

Smita will be seen playing the role of Neelam Oberoi, who is a dutiful wife and a doting mother of the lead character Rishi played by Rohit Suchanti. However, in a surprising twist, viewers will witness her grey shades too.

Well, we haven't seen Smita playing out-and-out negative roles in her previous project. 

Talking about the same in an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, Smita said, ''I don't believe in doing out-and-out negative roles. I don't think I'll be able to justify it. If my character has a grey shade, I'll definitely do it,''

Smita further said, ''I am usually offered positive and grey shade roles. I think people can't imagine me in negative roles.''
