TellyChakkar got in touch with the actress who spoke at length about her role and much more.
What were your thoughts when you were offered Sushma's character? What made you choose this role?
I was absolutely thrilled when I was offered Sushma's character. Honestly, more than that, I was nervous because I have been doing certain kinds of characters that are mostly grey or negative. I was always waiting for somebody to cast me in a role which is positive. I was really happy that people didn't typecast me for my roles and understood that I can play any role.
How has your experience been so far shooting with the star cast?
It's fun to shoot with everyone on Mose Chhal Kiye Jaaye. We are a set of like-minded people which happens if you are very fortunate. I have a good rapport and connect with Vijayendra and Vidhi, and also with Manek ji. We all keep having fun. All are great actors and it is fun to work with.
TV actors often feel they get typecast for playing certain roles. Do you feel the same?
Yes, sort of. From my experience, I have always been cast for roles that have grey shades or are totally negative. But then, I was offered Sushma this time. People are accepting it also. I am happy and delighted that the viewers accepted me as a new character. I would like to mention that whatever films I have done, I have played positive characters. I think an actor is an actor. I might say that I look good in a particular character but I have the ability to portray and do justice to any character.
