MUMBAI: After his successful stint in Sony SAB's Ziddi Dil Maane Na, Angad Hasija is once again back in action.

The actor has bagged a pivotal role in Sony SAB's recently launched show titled Dharm Yoddha Gaurd.

A lot of great actors have been roped in to play pivotal roles.

Faisal Khan, Parul Chauhan, Toral Rasputra, and Ankit Raaj, among others, are seen playing amazing characters.

Angad will be seen playing an out-and-out negative character of Takshaka in the show.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Angad who spoke at length about his role and much more.

What made you say yes to this role?

When I was briefed about this character, I was very scared. I haven't done a mythological show before and it is not my cup of tea. There are heavy outfits and the language is quite challenging. I thought I won't be able to do it. But I found the story extremely interesting. This concept has never been shown on-screen before. This was very exciting for me. When I heard about my character, I found it extremely different. I have always portrayed different characters. This was quite challenging. I thought I should try mytho show.

How excited were you to work once again in the same show with your Bidaai co-star Parul Chauhan?

I am working with Parul after 12 years and it feels great. We met on the sets of the show and everyone was waiting to see how we will meet. Everyone knows us through Bidaai. We used to have fun while shooting for Bidaai and we are enjoying it in the same way right now as well. Whenever I have scenes with Parul, it feels, like we are shooting for Bidaai. There are no changes in our nature as well. We are still great friends. Both of us have lots of fun on the set and people see us doing all the madness. One gets such friends by luck.

How challenging is it to shoot for a historical show?

Since I have never done a mythological show, it is quite challenging for me. I still find it difficult. It's a bit tough to carry costumes and all. Hats off to actors who have done mythological shows! After doing it, I can understand how difficult it is. It's amazing to see such shows on-screen. But it's equally difficult to do.
