TellyChakkar got in touch with Abhinav for a fun interview. The actor spoke about the most challenging phase in his career, his take on nepotism, and much more.
What was the most challenging phase in your career till now? How did you deal with it?
I think now that I have chosen this career, every day is a challenge. I don't think that the challenges ever end. Till the time you are doing a certain project, you will rock and everything will be going well. But as soon as the project ends, you need to get on to another one, you are back to being a struggler once again no matter how big an actor you are. It is very challenging when you have to bag another project once you are done with one. As you are very used to working and suddenly there is a break. Lucky are those who bag back-to-back projects. Even if there is a gap of two to three months, it becomes challenging to live a normal life. I would suggest that actors should work out, keep giving auditions, watch good movies, take some lessons of acting and cinema, and focus on work.
Do you feel nepotism occurs in the TV industry just like Bollywood?
Nepotism exists in every sector, it's not only there in the TV and film industry. It is very wrong to say that nepotism occurs only in the entertainment industry. This happens everywhere. If you have done good work and people see and offer you work then even that is nepotism in a way. If this occurs, there is nothing wrong. The world functions this way. Nepotism has been there for years.
If you get a chance to change one thing in your life what would that be and why?
I wouldn't want to change anything in my life even if I get a chance. I am very much happy and satisfied with my life. A person should excel in his/her life no matter how it is and always move on. I think we should be grateful to God for whatever we have got till now. We are lucky enough of having basic abilities. There are people who don't have these. I would like to chase my goals and work hard for them. I will hopefully achieve all those goals one by one.
Well said, Abhinav!
