MUMBAI:  The television industry is known for its dramatic, romantic, mixed masala, and off-the-hook shows. Did you know how these shows turn out a big hit? One of the major contributions comes from the casting agencies, as they find the perfect match for that most loved character on screen.

Vishal Tiwari has been a prominent name in the casting universe. He has been the name behind some of your favourites shows like Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha, Qurbaan Hua, Tujhse Hai Raabta and now Ghar Ek Mandir - Kripa Agrasen Maharaja Ki.

In an absolutely intriguing chat with TellyChakkar, Vishal reveals the casting challenges with TV, "When it comes to TV, budget plays a major role. There are very few channels that pay a handsome amount to their actors, in such cases, it's our job to save up the producers' funds. We face a major challenge in bringing the perfect match that would even justify on screen."

"With more platforms, there are a lot of opportunities for actors to foray their art in, due to which it is difficult to bring fresh faces on TV with every new show. As actors often have this notion that if you have done TV, you cannot do films. I believe that's not true as many actors like Lt. Sushant Singh Rajput, Mrunal Thakur, Radhika Madan, and so on have made a mark in Bollywood with their stellar performances," he added.

Talking about his upcoming project, Ghar Ek Mandir - Kripa Agrasen Maharaja Ki, he shared an anecdote about casting Akshay Mhatre and Shrenu Parikh, "It was quite smooth when we approached Shrenu for the role as she didn't take much time in agreeing for the show and Akshay has always been our first choice while casting for any show, this time it took him a second to agree and we had our hero in place."
