Exclusive: D4 lead actor meets with an accident

Niyati Fatnani

Even before the show could soar high and spread its wings, it has hit a major mess.

We are referring to Channel V’s latest offering D4- Get Up and Dance (Edgestorm Ventures).

Tellychakkar.com has been informed that the show’s lead actress Niyati Fatnani met with a tragic accident on the sets last night leaving her hospitalised.

Shared a source, “The team was shooting for a particular scene when Niyati walked into one of the frames. The girl suddenly realised her folly and dashed out when she banged herself in a glass door. The collision was with so much force that the entire door crashed on her. Niyati had glass pieces all over her and cuts that oozed out blood. A cut on her left leg was so deep that the bones were literally visible. It was a painful sight.”

Niyati was immediately rushed to the nearby Kokilaben Hospital. Today, a team of doctors will be operating on her.

Although we could not reach the producers, an actor on account of anonymity shared with us, “It was a tragic fall and fortunately she did not suffer any cut on her face. We are still wondering how things will pan out as getting back to shoots immediately would be impossible for her. Also with the show based on dance, it would be really tough for her to move so swiftly soon with such a major wound on her leg.”

We could not reach Niyati as her phone was switched off.

The Head of Production of the team, Sanjay Reddy confirmed the news and said that they are currently having meeting with the channel to solve the issue.

Our efforts to reach the channel’s spokesperson also remained futile.
