EXCLUSIVE! Even in today’s DNA age, there is a thought when a daughter is born that how will they manage to get her married: Ananya Khare on shooting for Star Bharat’s Lakshmi Ghar Aayi

My character is double-edged. She can go from being very funny to extremely vicious says Ananya Khare

MUMBAI: Ananya Khare is all set to comeback on television with a brand new show, Lakshmi Ghar Aayi on Star Bharat.

We got in touch with her and speaking exclusively with Tellychakkar.com, Ananya shared, “I had just wrapped up a show for Star Plus and I had worked with Shakuntalam Productions earlier too and had a great experience. So, when I got to know about them coming up with a show for Star Bharat, I was happy about that. Also, the show has an interesting take on my character as well. I play the mother-in-law, Jwala Kumar, who is greedy and ambitious. She wants a daughter-in-law who can get her a lot of dowry and the daughter-in-law is a girl of today’s time. She is well educated and does not believe in this system. That is the clash between the two women. The interesting part is who will have the upper hand?”

Speaking of the relevance of the subject, Ananya shared, “Even in today’s DNA age, there is a thought when a daughter is born that how will they manage to get her married. As for my character, she is double-edged. She can go from being very funny to extremely vicious.”

Sharing her bond with co-actors Simran Parneeja and Akshit Sukhija, Ananya shared, “Simran is a very positive and disciplined girl. I have not shot too many scenes with her yet but what I get to see of her in a variety of scenes, I am looking forward to shooting with her as she comes across as a very polite and humble girl. As for Akshit, he is a sweetheart. He is fun, well behaved and professionally sound. He is a positive influence on the sets.”
