Gurdeep Kohli is all set to enter the show in the role of Kaveri Pratab Singh; she is Ranisa, Nalini’s sister-in-law. Her entry is marked post-Veer’s sudden death. She is coming to make lives miserable for Nalini, Amrit, and Randheer.
In an exclusive conversation with TellyChakkar, Gurdeep shares some absolutely intriguing details about her character and what made her say yes to it. While sharing about the reason for agreeing to this character, she said, “I am trying to experiment with something new for my fans and audience. Yes, I have always done strong roles but all of them have been positive, this is for the first time I am trying something different.”
“When this role came my way, I was shocked reading the character sketch and I remember asking my husband ‘how are they asking me to do this’ but I like this challenge, the vision of my makers of Kyun Utthe Dil Chhod Aaye for taking such a positive face to pull off a completely negative character”, she added.
Talking about taking up the negative role, she mentions, “I was approached for many projects amid the pandemic but I avoided taking them earlier as my major concern was my kids’ safety. The negative role came in as something totally different; I was willing to take up a new character and this was best.”
Gurdeep takes us on a tour about her character Kaveri Pratab Singh, “Kaveri is extremely powerful, fiery, very revengeful, she is hungry for that power. She is greedy for Ranisa’s throne. She is here to sweep it off from their feet. To get her motive, she goes to any length. Kaveri is all set to create havoc in Amdheer’s life. That poor sweet girl is all set to be in huge trouble.”
