MUMBAI: A lot of new shows are in the pipeline and will soon go on the floor. Some are all set for launches in the coming days.

Sony TV is going to be the home to Kavya - one such new show starring Sumbul Touqeer Khan and Mishkat Varma.

According to the promo of the show, Sumbul will be playing the role of IAS Officer Kavya who is married to an IPS officer. The story will revolve around Kavya who will make many sacrifices for her career.

The show will be produced by DJ’s – A Creative Unit, which have been active in the industry for more than 20 years, and has been the name behind some of the biggest shows like ‘Just Mohabbat’, ‘Left Right Left’, ‘Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin’, ‘Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi’, ‘Shaurya Aur Anokhi Ki Kahan’, ‘Mere Dad Ki Dulhan’, ‘Chotti Bahu’, ‘Sumit Sambhal Lega’, and more.

There are many other actors who will contribute to the show and the storyline and one of them is well-known actor, Anuj Sullare who will debut for his first TV show. The actor has worked previously in many OTT projects also.

Tellychakkar got in touch with the actor where he talked about his response to the role, his meeting with Sumbul and much more.

What was your initial response to the role? What made you say ‘Yes’ to the show?

I was very excited upon listening to the story because the story will ultimately change people’s mindset and the relationship between Shubham and Kavya is very nicely explored with their mixed emotions, their personal life, their love life, how they keep a balance between their love life, personal life and their dreams. The journey of the couple, with all their dreams and ups and downs has been explored very beautifully.

Tell us something about your role?

Shubham is Kavya’s fiancé and they have been in a relationship since the last 10 years. They want to become IAS officers and my father is our guru who helps us in preparing for the exams. There are many dreams that we share as a couple but then complications come in.

How was it meeting Sumbul? What was your first impression?

I met Sumbul on the set for the first time. The shooting started with us. It was really amazing working with her becuase she is a fabulous actress. It’s fun doing scenes with her and later on we bonded together.
