TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor to talk about her journey, OTT space, and the reunion.
Would you say that you have played characters that lie in the mixed shade?
There’s a saying or say definition lie denotes gray lie is told partly to help others and partly to help ourselves. It may vary in shade of gray, depending on the balance of help and harm.
So, yes, the characters I played were mixed or dipped in nine ras (nav ras).
Sometimes characteristics we artists adapt and sometimes they belong to us originally Tere Mere Sapne’s Radha was cute and smart but bechari, So I am cute and smart but not bechari for sure.
When you look back, how would you describe your journey as?
Life is about discovering your ikigai—a Japanese concept that is ‘the sense of purpose, a reason for living. I am still in the process of finding purpose, though I know I am doing a lot of acting, being a fitness freak, writing, teaching drama, and exploring many things altogether. In this tedious process, we win some and lose some.
Life is a journey filled with lessons, hardships, heartaches, joys, celebrations, and special moments that ultimately lead us to our destination, and our purpose in life. The road will not always be smooth; in fact, throughout our travels, we will encounter many challenges.
We recently saw a small reunion of some of the cast of ‘Tere Mere Sapne." How was that reunion?
Reunions are a great way to meet up with old friends, relive old memories, enjoy a night of fun experiences, and get nostalgic with people you have known for many, many years. And that came out from my brain and heart when I saw and heard that many seasons two’s are coming out so why not Tere Mere Sapne Season 2, So, I started manifesting, and then I thought, "Why should I do that alone, there we go. All we needed was to be together and display together, unlike other reunions, this reunion happened and we went back in nostalgia like it was yesterday only. Breaking the ice after all those years or picking up right where you left off, whatever it is, there is a need for a flicker to ignite that warmth again. We laughed-dance-sung-& done so many small flickers and made our 1st reunion grand and memorable. And we now keep doing and manifesting it till we win for a Tere Mere Sapne 2.
