Exclusive! I once lost out on a project because someone else with more followers got the role: Vin Rana

In a conversation with TellyChakkar, Kumkum Bhagya fame Vin Rana talks about his dream role, the cons of social media, and more.
Vin Rana

MUMBAI: Vin Rana is among the most talented and loved actors in the industry. He has showcased his versatility by portraying varied roles in shows like Mahabharat, Vishkanya, Kavach, and Kumkum Bhagya. Vin made his digital debut with Poison 2 and last featured in Jamai 2.0.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor and asked what is keeping him busy these days. He replied, “I'm doing music videos and travelling a lot these days. Moreover, I have been working a lot on myself lately.”

What kind of roles do you want to play?

“I don't have anything particular in mind, because I want to explore everything. To me, the platform doesn’t matter. I just want to get more work and improve myself with it. I'm open to everything as long as the project is suitable and well thought out.”

Is there any pressure to stay active on social media?

“I'm more offline these days. I am inactive on social media. I don't feel like posting or checking my follower count every day. I'm not active on Twitter also, but I try to be active on Instagram. In fact, these days, people are getting offers based on the number of Instagram followers they have. I once lost out on a project because someone else with more followers got the role, which is not right. But I believe that if you're talented, you'll get more work automatically.”

Do you wish to do any mythological or historical show?

“I don't really have that in mind particularly, because I've had some experience in mythological shows. But in the future, if the project is really good, then I might do it.”

Keep up the good work, Vin!
