MUMBAI:TellyChakkar brings you another exclusive update from the world of entertainment.
The world of entertainment is a vast universe in itself. To make a show or movie, there is a whole team of professionals who work day and night and put in hard days' work to make the show complete.
There is a whole team that does not always get the attention for their efforts, from casting directors, to executive producers, costume designers, assistant directors, set managers, make-up artists, set boys, production and on-set crew, and so many more. These are the unseen heroes who work to make a show successful.

The creatives of a show are similarly and equally important and help the smooth running and continuity of the show.
One such person who does not always get credit for their hard work because they are not on screen is Jyoti Kushwah, who has worked as the creative head for shows like Choti Sardarni, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Zindagi Abhi Baaki Hai Mere Ghost and currently she is the creative head of the Star Plus show, Banni Chow Home Delivery.
TellyChakkar got in touch with the Creative Head, Jyoti Kushwah, to talk about her journey and her future plans.
Running a show takes a lot of work, and production is a big part of it. What are your thoughts about it?
It is actually a very difficult job because, even though we say that it's a 12–13-hour job, it's not. The work doesn’t stop, and even when you are not shooting the episodes, the work of a creative is ongoing, planning the schedule, and making sure the show is running smoothly. There is this myth that creatives don’t work, but actually, we work round the clock with not a lot of appreciation.
How has your journey been in the industry so far?
Working in this industry has been a passion of mine and I take my work very seriously. My work becomes my sole focus and it takes over my life because I want everything to be perfect and I know that I have a responsibility towards my job. I used to do a boring desk job before this, but I finally decided to pursue my passion. My experience with this industry has been a joy and I love working on projects. I get creative liberty and I get to learn something. I wanted to do something different, and I think it has paid off.
Would you ever want to expand your creative fields in the future? Would you ever want to start your own production house?
I do want to work further in the creative field, and it is a dream to open my own production house. I want to become a producer that changes things. I want to change the perspective that people have toward daily soaps. With my own production house, I want to create a show that will prove to people that the hard work of 12–13 hours a day pays off in the content we create. I want to achieve these things to show that, and as a young woman, take on the mantle to change the narrative and become the best producer. That is the plan down the lane.
Jyoti has been a part of some really iconic shows. Her dreams of becoming a superstar producer are definitely inspiring.
