MUMBAI: Gashmeer Mahajani is a well-known television star. He rose to fame with his performance as Aditya in the serial Imlie, where the pair of Aditya and Imlie was loved by the audience.

But just a few months back Gashmeer had decided to quit the show as he wanted to do something different and hence he put an end to Aditya Tripathi. The fans were heartbroken with the news as they knew they wouldn’t be able to watch him.

Television actor Manasvi Vashist has replaced him on the show as Aditya.

Gashmeer is a huge star in the world of Marathi cinema and he has done a lot of work there. He debuted with P. Som Shekar's Hindi film Muskurake Dekh Zara in the year 2010, although only in 2015 did he achieve popularity, when Carry On Maratha, which was his Marathi film debut, and Deool Band were released.

Dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is coming up with a new season and the show is all set to begin on 3rd September 2022.

Gashmeer Mahajani is one of the confirmed contestants on the show and this will be his first reality show.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor and asked him if he got a chance to dance with Madhuri Dixit which song he would perform. The actor also revealed what was his family and friends' reactions when they came to know that he was a part of the show.

If you get a chance to dance with Madhuri Dixit which song would you choose?

I would love to dance with Madhuri Ma’am on the male version of the song Ek do Teen and also on the famous Anil Kapoor song from Ram Lakhan.

What was your family and friends' reaction when you told them that you were a part of this reality show?
 
They all were super excited and they always wanted me to get back to dancing since they haven’t seen me doing hardcore dancing. They were all very supportive and happy about this new journey.

Do you get stage fright before your performance?

Every time I go on stage I have this fear that the act shouldn’t go wrong and I shouldn’t forget my steps. But then I control my fear and just enjoy where I don’t forget my steps and I perform well. One needs to just enjoy and dance from the heart like no one is watching.

Well, the fans are excited to see Gashmeer Mahajani on the show where he will be showcasing his dancing skills.
