MUMBAI: Star Plus’s show Imlie is one of the most popular daily soaps on TV right now. The first season starred Sumbul Touqeer Khan, Fahmaan Khan, and Gashmeer Mahajani.
The second season brought in a breath of fresh air and a barrage of new actors.
Seerat Kapoor is playing the role of Chini in the show. She is Imlie's elder sister and often feels neglected when compared to her. She is playing a slightly grey character.
Fans are loving her on the show and really interested to know about her personal life as well. With the festival of lights coming up, fans are excited to learn about their favorite star’s plan as well.
TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor Seerat Kapoor to talk about her Diwali plans.
How are you going to celebrate Diwali this year?
My family is actually not together this Diwali as my mom and my brother are celebrating it with my grandparents in my hometown, Chandigarh. My dad and I are here in Mumbai as we are currently working. So, my dad and I will spend the day together, decorate our house a bit, and in the evening, have the pooja.
What is your every-year Diwali ritual?
Every year, all of us are in Chandigarh, we make rangoli and decorate the house with diyas and candles. I spend the afternoon with my friends and we have our yearly ritual, which is a photoshoot. We all worship together in the evening.
Do you have the fondest memory related to Diwali?
The fondest memories are of when I could be with my grandparents and my best friends and we used to cook something different together, like some new dish or mocktail.
Any wishes or messages for fans for Diwali?
I want to wish everyone lots and lots of positivity this year as the world has gone through enough. I pray that this Diwali brings bundles of happiness to everyone.
