Tellychakkar got in touch with the actor where he revealed about his upcoming projects and much more.

When was your first break and how did you get it?

It was a still Godrej ad in 2011 and I earned Rs.4000 for it. There was a well-known coordinator and I had to chase him for a month to get my payment. I had got my portfolio ready and was fresh out of an acting course. I used to send my portfolios to people so that I could get a call back, informing me about the ad details. Since it was just a start for me, I accepted the offer.

What according to you works, destiny or hard work?

I don’t know about that. I am no God. For me, it has also been the timings. I have always been hardworking. You should not lose hope and always keep working hard. Some people make it in 2 months and for some, it takes 20 years. It’s a never ending process and even if you’re the best you still have to work hard. You need to keep working hard and give your all because you never know when will it happen. Sometimes, you get lucky by being in the right place at the right time. Some people aren’t keen on acting but they get selected from random places while on other side, there are some people who keep giving their best for 5 years, 10 years or 15 years, waiting for that one opportunity. Sometimes, they don’t get it at all and that’s the brutal truth. So, I don’t know what works, destiny or hard work but I know that you need to give your best all the time.

Tell me something about your upcoming projects.

I’m doing theatres, stage shows. I’m doing 2 shows on 26th and 27th in the Royal Opera. I’m doing this play, 'Peecha Karti Parchhaiyan’. It’s a great story. It was written in the late 90th century by Henrik Ibsen sir. This play is adapted by Ila Arun. She’s the producer and is also playing the role of my mother in the play. It’s directed by K.K.Raina. I’m super excited about it. We’ve been rehearsing for it since 2 months now. The original play’s name is ‘Ghosts’. It’s about naturalism/realism.

Other than that, I’m also working in an upcoming series in which I’m playing a grey negative shade.
