Chikoo Ki Mummy Durr Kei has a lot of expectations from the viewers and we are sure that it will live up to it.

TellyChakkar got in touch with casting director Janet Illis Prajapati and her casting agency Janet's Casting Hub LLP team has picked up some of the finest gems from the television industry for the show.

Speaking about how she ended up casting child actor Vaishnavi Prajapati for the lead role of Chikoo on the show, she said, ''It was definitely teamwork. We had a lot of support from the producers. We found out this girl who is already a dancer and has done Super Dancer Chapter 2. That's how we connected to her and cast Vaishnavi for the role. The protocol was to cast a child actor above 10 years and above because of Covid. We needed somebody who looks much younger.''

Further, we asked her about how she decided to rope in Paridhi Sharma for the role of Chikoo's mummy, she said, ''Paridhi is a very good dancer, and we needed a very good mother who is also a dancer. We did audition a lot of people. However, she was accurate because she has that softness on her face and she just fitted perfectly for my role of being a mother who has lost her kid. The creatives of the show felt that she was the right choice for the role.''

Lastly, revealing what the viewers can expect from the show, she said, ''The show is going to be a super hit. There has been a lot of struggle and hard work which the whole team has put into making this show. I will not compare it with any show. We have a child and parents involved which is there in every show. The show is produced by Four Lions but it's not right to call it similar to Kulfi Kumarr Bajewala. This show has its own essence and beauty. It's edged in a very different way comparatively.''

Four Lions Productions, Nilanjana Purkayasstha, Gul Khan, Kashma Jain, Herambh Khot and Jagat Mehta are the producers while Nishant and Jagrut are creatives.
