MUMBAI: Star Bharat is a one-stop destination for intriguing content and entertainment-filled dramas. With viewers' favorite shows, Star Bharat has always strived to reach the viewers’ hearts.

The channel is gearing up to enthrall its viewers with a fully loaded and captivating drama titled ‘Meri Saas Bhoot Hai’ that will air by the end of January 2023. The show will be produced under the banner of Farm Film Productions.

The show's creators chose a vibrant and brilliant artist like Kajal Chauhan who will play the lead in the show. Kajal has already appeared in several television series, while veteran actor Sushmita Mukherjee will play the role of Rekha, the saas on the show.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Kajal to talk about the show, her expectations, taking over the slot of Radha Krishn and more.

The promo for the show has been out for a little while, what has the audience reaction been like?

Our show is starting very soon. When I watched the promo myself and when I am reading the comments, it has been really positive and especially when they saw the promo about the concept of the show. So, I am feeling really happy. I feel positive, but there is a responsibility too, because when you start something new and if it is on a grand scale, the responsibility adds on. Our show has everything, from drama to comedy. There is a mix of human emotion and the purpose is to make you laugh when we get scared. I am excited, nervous, but also very happy. 

You are taking over the timeslot of a very popular serial, how confident or nervous, are you?

I don’t have any words to describe Radha Krishn, because completing 4 and a half years on television is no small thing. The audience has given Sumedh and Malika so much love. So many love shows come and go, but people don’t pay attention to it. I feel like if we are taking their spot, then maybe we are the chosen ones and I have taken that in a positive stride. I know people are sad that Radha Krishn is ending because people have fallen in love with the show, but I am confident because we are putting in a lot of hard work. I am nervous because we are taking the space of a very loved show and people will have a lot of expectations from us. Viewers are anticipating what our show will be like and I am confident because that it was teaching the right things. We are here to entertain. There were so many shows that went on air on Star Bharat but ours was the only show chosen to replace RadhaKrishn, so there must be something in mind. 

What would you like to say to the audience and fans of the show?

I only want to say to them that our show, Meri Saas Bhoot Hai is starting on 23rd January on Star Bharat and I know that all the shows put in hard work, and they have a lot of hope. I am keeping one thing in mind; a lot of people’s lives especially the technicians and team are impacted by this, so I hope that this does really well. Please watch the show! One of the biggest writers, who wrote Golmaal and Dhamaal has written the show. Sushmita ma'am is in the show and you will get a touch of UP tadka, comedy, horror and drama, all of it.

Kajal plays the role of Gaura on the show, 'Meri Saas Bhoot Hai', which is launching on Star Bharat soon.
