MUMBAI: Abhinav Shukla is a well-known television star who rose to fame with his stint in Bigg Boss Season 14, where he was considered one of the most dignified players of the game.

Post that, he was seen in the reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi, where he did all the stunts and faced his fears.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actor and asked him who he feels is the toughest competitor of the show, and whether he feels the pressure of parenthood.

Do you visit Rubina’s rehearsals at the Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa sets?

No, I don’t, because the knowledge I have about dance is zero as I am a non–dancer. So I don’t give her any advice. She is a brilliant dancer and she impresses everyone with her talent. The advice I give is that she should cut her nails or else she could hurt herself. I tell her to slow down and get good sleep and to relax for one day so that the muscles get some rest. This is the kind of feedback I give.

Who do you think is Rubina’s toughest competitor?

I feel Gashmeer is her toughest competition, as he is a good performer and even those kids are so good. Rubina has outdone herself in the show even though she is not a trained dancer. She is a self-learned dancer and her journey is commendable with the dance styles she has tried.

Do you feel the pressure of parenthood, considering that everyone around you is having kids?

No, I don’t feel any pressure because even when I was studying there wasn’t any pressure as such. Even when I became an actor, there wasn’t much pressure for the same. Even after I got married, everyone did tell me about these things, but then I met Rubina and I knew that I wanted to get married to her, and took the plunge. The same thing is with parenthood. I have never felt the pressure as these things happen very gradually, and I have a partner who doesn’t force or pressurise me.
