Tellychakkar recently got in touch with the actress and got to know about her experience on the show and why she left.

What are you currently doing and what is in the pipeline for the future?

“Currently, I don’t have a very clear picture. But something keeps going on in the pipeline. But it’s a very initial stage till I say anything. Nothing is concrete yet and it’s all in talks as of now. I hope the audience gets to see me soon. For me, I myself have been thinking it’s been a few months since I have been resting. A lot was going on in my home with my parents’ barsi so I was dealing with all that as well. I have taken a long break and wish to return to work. Life was a little tied up when I was doing Pandya Store and Nima Denzongpa. I am also hoping for something to happen and for some good news.”

What kind of roles do you wish to explore?

“I really want to do some work on OTT. I feel it is time for it. I am up for it and ready for it. I have tried many things and I can pull it off. I can improve as well while at it. I just need the right person to guide me. The daily soap is my lifeline but OTT also interests me. I wish to do something of a darker genre and intense. I have so many shades in me, from anger, emotions and comedy. So I can pull off different characters.”

You have been a part of some big banner shows like Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala, Diya aur Baati hum, Pandya Store and Nima Denzongpa. Do you have a favourite?

“No, I don’t have a favourite. I have never been fixed with a certain banner or channel, I have got offers from various channels and these are the offers that came on their own. I felt good about not being stuck with just one production house. I felt like the channels were watching and noticing me. I was also worried about being typecast after doing a negative role in Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala. But to my surprise, they offered me a positive role in Shubharaambh. I love the whole journey and can’t choose a favourite. I am just dying to work with Rajan Shahi.”
