Tellychakkar got in touch with the actress where she talked about breaking stereotypes, her bond with Bidisha Ghosh Sharma and much more.

What is your opinion on stereotypical thoughts that a woman who refuses to conceive a child is looked down on in a negative way?

It’s a sensitive topic. I don’t want to sound very politically correct by saying that it’s their choice. I believe every individual has a choice. However, I believe a female has been designed by nature in such a way only they can carry a baby and give birth to a child. So if for some reason, a woman has issues and they cannot give birth to a child, then I don’t believe in the saying that a woman is born only when they become a mother but I feel that if they are gifted with a quality that the other gender doesn’t have, then why shouldn’t we use that. It’s an amazing feeling to be a mother. Respecting the women’s decision, I feel every woman should become a mother at least once.

While the show is breaking stereotypes, what’s that one stereotype that you want broken?

As a society, I think there are many stereotypes that we need to break. Talking about growth and progress, if a couple is married and they are not happy with each other, then they start searching for happiness outside the marriage. It affects the dignity of the relationship. I think parting ways in a mutual way, in an amicable way would be better.

While we see a great bond between Teji and Farah, tell us about the bond off-set?

Off camera it’s even better. Farah and Teji are best friends and have been together through all the thick and thin but off-camera, Bidisha and my friendship is also the same. We share a great bond and we are amazing together.
