MUMBAI: With a lot of new shows rolling out in the upcoming days, the viewers can't contain their excitement.

A lot of television shows have come up with season 2 such as Sasural Simar Ka 2, Pratigya 2, Jijaji Chhat Par Koi Hain, Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain 2, Thapki Pyaar Ki 2, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi 3, among others.

This has now become a trend in the television industry.

And now, the small screens is all set for another rocking season of the popular show Sasural Genda Phool.

The makers are all set to be back with the second season and fans can't be more excited.

Jay Soni and Ragini Khanna played the lead roles in the previous season.

With season 2, we will once again see Jay essaying the lead role but this time, he will be paired opposite Shagun Sharma.

Apart from Jay, the makers have retained many faces from the previous season. Sooraj Thapar, Shruti Ulfat, Anita Kanwal, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Richa Sony, Rashmi Singh, Charlie Shivhare, and Ridhiema Tiwari, among others.

In an interview with us, Rashmi Singh who is all set to play Jay Soni aka Ishaan Kashyap's sister Ishika in Sasural Genda Phool 2, opened up about her character and much more.

Are you ready for comparisons as the previous season was a huge hit?

There are definitely going to be comparisons for sure as season 1 was a huge hit. I am sure that the viewers will definitely love this season as well like they loved the previous one. All of us are doing a lot of hard work to entertain everyone. I hope that people will give the same love and support to this season as it got for the last season. All of us are working really hard.

Were you nervous performing scenes with all the senior actors of the show?

I was extremely nervous on the first day of my shoot. The shooting pattern of the show is quite different here. Our scenes are mostly done in one take. The star cast has already portrayed the roles previously, so all of them are quite pros. I was all over the place. But everyone on the set was extremely nice and helpful. I got comfortable on the set after a few days. Supriya Ji and all helped me a lot. I am getting used to working with the team now.

How did you bag your debut show Dwarkadheesh?

I was new in Mumbai. I told my mother that I'll come back home after staying here for two months. I came here in search of work. By chance, I got my first show soon. Before that, I did modeling and that's how I got Dwarkadheesh. After doing this show, there was no stopping. I decided not to go back and continued working.

Rashmi has previously appeared in shows like Saath Nibhana Saathiya, Dwarkadeesh, among others.

Sasural Genda Phool 2 is all set to hit the small screens on 7th December on Star Bharat.
