MUMBAI: Imlie is one of the most successful shows on television and has done well on the TRP charts since it has hit the screens.

Resham Prashant is best known for her roles in Nazar and Pasant Aahe Mulgi.

Currently, she is seen in the show Imlie. The actress essays the character of Preeta (baby doll), which is a bit grey and difficult to play.

TellyChakkar got in touch with the actress and asked her about her views on social media, what she thinks about the digital platform, and much more.

What are your views about social media? Do you think it’s a curse or a boon?

According to me, social media is a curse and a boon. It helps actors connect to their fans. Our posts become the voice for many, and we are always there to help in a small way through social media. The curse part comes in when we get trolled, but we shouldn’t be giving them any attention.

Are you open to doing any web series considering that the digital platform is expanding?

I have done a series on Amazon and MX Player. The craft is so different, and the series reaches different audiences. The perception about people on the OTT platform is also different. The audience is more inclined towards series these days as they watch them anywhere.

Do you think that the digital world would take over television and Bollywood?

At some point, it will but not anytime soon. As far as the idiot box is considered, it’s for the family audience and that is something that cannot change, especially for housewives. It’s a breather. But as far as the digital platform is considered, people are addicted to series, and digital will take over someday.
