MUMBAI: Actress Shagun Sharma is currently seen in Star Bharat's show Sasuraal Genda Phool 2.

The beautiful diva is playing the lead role of Titli in the show.

Shagun was the newest addition to the show's star cast for the second season.

While the viewers were looking forward to Jay Soni and Shagun's new pairing and were willing to see more of them on-screen, Sasuraal Genda Phool 2 is all set to wrap up within a span of 4 months of its launch.

The show will air its last episode on 15th April.

The news of Sasuraal Genda Phool 2 going off-air came as a huge surprise for the viewers as the first season worked wonders while the second season did not get the same response.

TellyChakkar got in touch with Shagun who spoke about her future plans post wrapping up the show and much more.

What kind of roles are you looking for in your future projects?

There is not much to explore on TV. And if you want to explore, there are many opportunities for that as well. The industry is big. You can try the web and movies. Every platform has a different set of audiences. I'll do whatever comes my way. I do see my comfort first. I don't want to do negative roles so I never choose such roles.

What is the reason behind not taking up negative roles?

It affects me a lot even if I am mean to people on screen. It takes a toll on me. I feel why I am doing this. I know it's not me and I am just acting but it stays in my mind and bothers me for a long time. Also, you get bashed on social media by fans. I can't handle such negative messages from fans and it keeps bothering me.  

Talking about exploring the web content which is quite different from TV, how comfortable are you to step out of your comfort zone and explore such roles?

I am not comfortable at all and that's why I am not going that way. I feel that it's very unprofessional to give auditions in spite of knowing what I am asked to do. It's better not to give auditions that demand bold content. I feel I am not ready right now and not that confident enough. It takes a lot of courage and confidence to perform bold scenes in front of the world and do those scenes, again and again, to get it right. I inquire properly before going ahead with any projects. If it demands intimate scenes or exposing my body, I straight away say no.

Well, that's quite an honest confession!

Shagun has previously done several shows including Kuch Toh Hai Tere Mere Darmiyaan and Tu Aashiqui.
